Balance of life

As years have past I have been in hiatus with my puppetry. I have posted with Pauly and some other puppets of mine on Instagram and Facebook. life can hand you challenges. I have been mentally in the works to use my babies for ministry but am careful because some have issues with this type of puppetry

And as AI has advanced itself the need for real is there. AI has been a staple in entertainment for decades but the recent abuse in using it is not fair to the real players in all industries. maybe we need shows more like PUPPETS UP or simple amateur shows to feel human again

Beyond the Viruses

As 2019 came such a challenge for many. Covid 19 and its sisters

came to visit the world. A instant change in lifestyle and how we interact among

each other. So many lives lost because we did not know what we were dealing with

or did we. The Spanish flu was a pandemic so similar to what we have faced recently.

As it progressed we began to progress but not fast enough for the prince of fear to reign

over the world and ignorance took effect. Propaganda filling the heads of many. Need someone

to blame... In 2020 most of the world came to their senses. We came up with 3 companies for

created a vaccine to counter this virus. And propaganda starts again anti vax is the thing. Governments going to control us. Put a pellet in us and control us like the 70's movie Blade Runner. WOW

Unfortunately many lost their jobs or were laid off. Puppeteers especially independent ones suffered

economically. Some had regular jobs to go to. But still may have been laid off. We turned to social media for relief. Tik Tok, Facebook, Instagram and You Tube. W e almost lost a legend in Puppetry

Bob Bakers Marionettes. But thanks to the love of puppetry Donations came to save this awesome

company.

Now 2021 Vaccines are helping to save lives and extend them regardless of the new variances that are discovered. Many Puppeteers have successfully come back, survived. Toiley T Paper and friends,

All felt no filter, Darcy Lynn, Tarry Fator and may others. Some are still struggling but hope will be on the horizon.

As a amatuer puppeteer I do my best to keep my as I call it "Therapy" in my everyday life. If you see anyone in any type of puppetry give them recognition and enjoy their craft. We need the joy in these trying times.

How ironic to hear that so many times. The old 70's terminology "Macho" more true meaning Machismo derived from Spanish meaning masculinity.

"That's Gay" Well her is what the true meaning was having or showing a merry, happy or lively mood. Oh you play with puppets?! If you really want to bash their comment party the comment would be.... No I am manipulating the puppet. They would lose it and make accusations of what you have just said. in puppetry manipulating is this; to handle, manage, or use, especially with skill, in some process of treatment or performance:

Wow automatically this is deemed inappropriate. So it is with puppetry in some circles of society.

There is people who still go to a opera or plays. A puppet show is not different. There is just puppets who are the actors or actresses being controlled by a puppeteer. Ventriloquism uses puppetry to interact by using a puppet some call a dummy. There are marionettes using strings to

control the puppets manor and movements.

So how does this affect the puppeteer? Well some older generations are stepping up and giving testimony about there times watching puppets. Sesame Street, Captain Kangaroo, Howdy Doody,

Or the mid 80's with Alf which had 4 season which consisted of human puppetry and a hand puppet. And of course Yoda who was the same part human puppetry and a hand puppet. In Team America World Police Scott Land was the Lead puppeteer among other puppeteers which were all Marionettes.

In Europe Puppetry still is a staple of entertainment but in the United States it has fallen short to video and blue screen images. But there has been a comeback in may ways. The Muppet's and even in some lending commercials. So when you see someone doing a puppet show don't comment with negativity or thoughts of wrong. Stop and enjoy the show.
